New Senate VA Bill Will Not Be The Answer

Senator Marco Rubio and other GOP Senators are happy with the compromise reached in the Senate over VA reform, but will this new bipartisan bill fix the problem?

Senators Johnson, Sessions, and Corker were the only hold outs and voted ‘no.’

Rubio’s bill was a stronger bill, but was squashed by Senator Sanders on the Senate floor. Sanders then joined Senator McCain to propose their own bill, which included some of the things Rubio’s bill contained. 

The Senate has allocated  $500 million more for the VA, without any guarantees that this money will fix the problems facing the embattled government agency. 

You can probably expect to hear more about problems over at the VA, even when the $500 million spent
