Obama Failing on Immigration, Other Fronts
Only 31% of Americans approve of how Barack Obama is handling immigration reform, while only 38% say he "shares their priorities" and a clear majority, 56%, feel he does not.
On the whole, Obama's numbers remain in free fall and he is increasingly seen as out of touch with America and American's primary concerns.
As the head of his party, the new numbers via The Hill don't look good for Democrats as we continue on through Summer and prepare for this fall's mid-term elections.
They also seem primed to succeed in November’s midterm elections. While Democrats hold a slight generic ballot edge (41-37 percent), the GOP holds a more substantial (47-40 percent) lead among those more enthusiastic than usual about voting. With just a quarter of voters saying they are paying attention to the midterm elections, highly motivated voters will likely play a key role.
