Rocker Girl, Mother of Two ISIS Recruit Wants to Behead Christians with 'a Blunt Knife'

The Islamic State’s recruiting efforts across the Western world have been disturbingly successful. At least two Americans have died fighting for ISIS; both were described as fairly ordinary American kids by everyone who knew them only a year or two ago. The man who beheaded American journalist James Foley on video was almost certainly a British citizen, most likely Abdel-Majed Abdel Bary, a West London rapper from an affluent home whose music was played on BBC Radio One.

UK Metro has a story about another former musician gone over to ISIS, Sally Jones, seen here fronting an all-girl rock band in happier times:

Did this British mother who once fronted a rock band join ISIS in Syria?

UK Metro is careful to describe Jones’ alleged defection to ISIS as the subject of an investigation, but there seems to be quite a bit of evidence on social media:

Investigators have revealed the British woman who travelled to the middle eastern country after marrying a known British jihadist may be Sally Jones, from Chatham in Kent.

Jones, believed to be in her 40s, married British hacker-turned-extremist Junaid Hussain and converted to Islam, before the two were believed to have travelled to Syria separately where she has been making her threats via Twitter.

Changing her name to Umm Hussain al-Britani, the mother of two allegedly tweeted messages of hate such as: ‘You Christians all need beheading with a nice blunt knife and stuck on the railings at raqqa … Come here I’ll do it for you!’

Apparently she was last heard from on Twitter, telling her tweeps that she and her husband had arrived safely in the caliphate after spending half a year stuck in Syria.  According to the UK’s Daily Mail, her hubby fled Britain one step ahead of the law… in the company of none other than Foley’s alleged killer, Abdel Majed Abdel Bary:

Umm Hussain’s husband escaped to Syria last year while on police bail, and has been posting extremist messages on social media pledging to conquer the world and kill infidels.

He was accompanied on his journey by Abdel-Majed Abdel Bary, 24, a former rapper from west London who is believed to have been on MI5’s radar.

In 2012 Hussain was jailed for stealing personal information from Tony Blair, and is thought to be putting his hacking skills to use adding to the militants’ huge war chest.

Hussain is originally from Birmingham and tweets behind the alias Abu Hussain al-Britani. He has been pictured online posing with a scarf over his face and a rifle in his hands.

That’s some pretty impressive recruiting from what President Obama described as a “junior varsity” player pretending to be the terrorist equivalent of Kobe Bryant by putting on one of his uniforms.
