$1.1 Trillion Lost in the Obama Shuffle

If a Republican administration had to endure the headlines on this, a single day in the life of a presidency, the media would be pronouncing said administration and any further policy initiatives dead on arrival. Instead, the as usual Obama friendly media seems to be juggling his balls for him so as to not let one drop on his head too hard.

Consider this, the Obama administration has effectively, thanks to a complicit media, used the dropping of a report on torture to distract from an issue that will have far more impact on the everyday life of Americans going forward than what may, or may not have happened at Guantanamo back in the day. Said other issue being ObamaCare and the scam that helped sell it to America.

Issa To Gruber: ‘Are You Stupid?’

House Oversight Committee Chair Darrell Issa (R-CA) cut right to the chase in his questioning of MIT professor Jonathan Gruber’s comments on the “stupidity of the American voter” at a Tuesday oversight committee hearing.

Meanwhile, the government is preparing to write a check for $1.1 trillion and there is hardly a column inch of newspaper space available to cover it given all the other bad news.

Lingering snags caused by policy differences are holding up a must-pass, $1.1 trillion spending bill in Congress, including a provision that could lead to pension cuts for more than 1 million retirees and a plan to relax new regulations on some risky financial products.

In some ways, it may be best right now that the media does such a good job of covering for Obama. If Americans were exposed to the raw truth behind this failed presidency, we’d likely all spend the Holidays depressed and no one should wish that on anyone.
