Hillary Teams Up With Bloomberg On Women’s Issues

Hillary Clinton joined former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg to promote “data2x, a joint venture involving the Clinton Foundation, Bloomberg Philanthropies and the United Nations Foundation”.

The pair aren’t quite the odd couple some might think, given Bloomberg’s long history as a Democrat before running for NYC Mayor as a Republican. He also endorsed Barack Obama over Republican Mitt Romney in 2012.

Bloomberg could be a powerful ally of Hillary in a presidential run, given his reach into the business community.

As for data2x, “the project aims to improve the tracking of data about women and girls around the globe.” In essence, it’s a data tracking effort geared to women’s issues across the globe.

“You can’t understand what the problem is if you don’t have a good grasp of what the facts and figures are,” said Clinton, whose foundation’s No Ceilings project focuses on “full participation” of women and girls in society.
