Grim reality at Daily Job Cuts.

On January 19, thousands of Americans from every state rallied at their state capitols to show support for the 2nd Amendment and send a message to Congress. Following the pattern we saw during the birth of the tea party (circa Feb/March 2009), local media covered some of these rallies, but they were given short shrift in the national media. So now it’s time for  round two.

2nd Amendment rallies will be taking place in every U.S. state capitol city on Friday, February 8, 2013 at 10:00 a.m.

I'm not sure whether Paul Krugman's alien invasion stimulus plan would also work for asteroids. If so, he may be in luck on Feb. 15, when an asteroid will pass near Earth. It's as good an excuse for federal stimulus as any.

I've been living in SoCal for 15 years now. Traffic here can be bad. A one hour trip can become a two hour trip if you don't plan ahead. That said, the daily crawl on the 95 south and 66 west in Virginia are as bad as anything the 405 can dish out during rush hour here in CA.

In response to DC tops list of nation's worst traffic:

The hot new meme from Obama's media cheerleaders is that traffic jams are a sign of economic recovery, so I guess gridlock in D.C. is perfectly consistent with its status as the greatest boom town in America.

DC gridlock is not just a metaphor, according to a study by Texas A & M Transportation Institute.

Rankings of the nation’s most congested cities vary slightly from year to year, and many of this year’s top 10 are repeat performers. Washington, D.C. tops the list, followed by Los Angeles, San Francisco-Oakland, New York-Newark and Boston.
