Mar 11, 2013 8:11 AM PT

Texas Senator Ted Cruz addressed the attendees at the annual Cuba-Democracy PAC luncheon and covered a wide range of issues of interest to Hispanics as well as the Republican party’s prospects of making greater inroads with this increasingly important voter demographic that has been trending Democrat of late.  I asked Cruz directly if he believes the Hispanic vote is still in play for Republicans-

Video: Paul Ryan: "Our Budget Repeals Obamacare and Medicaid Expansion"

Mar 10, 2013 9:14 PM PT

Rep. Paul Ryan, the  chairman of the House Budget Committee will be rolling out his proposed budget, this week. On Fox News Sunday, he claimed that Republicans did not lose the argument on Medicare in the 2012 election, and called for the repeal of ObamaCare so legislators can replace it with a better system.

 The Washington Times Reported:

With a Democratic Senate and Mr. Obama’s veto pen, however, that prospect is a nonstarter. Host Chris Wallace said flatly that repealing Obamacare is not going to happen.

“Well, we believe it should,” Mr. Ryan replied. “That’s the point — this is what budgeting’s all about, Chris. It’s about making tough choices to fix our country’s problems. We believe that Obamacare is a program that will not work.”

You should see him in a crowd of 'abuelos'-he can do 'no' wrong in their eyes.

In response to Jeb does the 'Full Ginsburg + 1':

After a week of Rand Paul dominating the news, and rocking the Obama Administration back on its heels, what we clearly needed on Sunday was six shows filled with Jeb Bush launching a long-shot four-year quest for the White House by explaining why he disagrees with the book on immigration reform he just published.

Cruz: 'Badge of Honor' to Be Called 'Wacko Bird'

Mar 9, 2013 2:43 PM PT

Shortly after Senator Rand Paul finished his epic filibuster of Obama’s CIA nominee, John Brennan, Senator John McCain came out swinging at his junior Republican colleagues in U.S. Senate, calling Paul and Senator Ted Cruz “Wacko Birds.”

“But I also think that when, you know, it’s always the wacko birds on right and left that get the media megaphone.”-Sen. John McCain
