BAGHDAD, Iraq (AP) - Four U.S. soldiers attached to the Marines were killed in two separate
roadside bombings near the insurgent stronghold of Ramadi, the
military said Tuesday, raising the number of American forces who have
died in Iraq since the start of the war to 1,903.
The soldiers died in two separate bomb attacks on Monday during combat
operations in the volatile western Iraqi city, 115 kilometers (70
miles) west of Baghdad, the military said.
The victims were U.S. Army soldiers attached to the 2nd Marine
Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force.
The names of the victims were not released.
