Palestinians: 5 Dead in New Israeli Strike
DEIR AL-BALAH, Gaza Strip (AP) - An Israeli airstrike targeted a group of people in this southern Gaza
town on Wednesday, killing five people and wounding six others,
Palestinian officials said.

The army said it had targeted an armed militia.
The airstrike raised the death toll in fighting in Deir Al-Balah to 12. At least seven Palestinians were killed in three earlier incidents, part of a stepped-up Israeli offensive in the area.
