PYONGYANG, Nov. 5 (AP) - (Kyodo)—North Korea's official media said Wednesday that the country's leader Kim Jong Il inspected training by two military units, the second time in less than a week there has been a report on his public appearance.

The Korean Central News Agency said in separate reports that Kim visited a sub-unit under the Korean People's Army's Unit 534, as well as Unit 2200. The dates and places of the events were not mentioned, as is usually the case with such visits.

The reports were dated Tuesday but moved on early Wednesday. They came amid lingering speculation outside of the country about his possible ill health.

"After watching the training of the brave soldiers, he expressed his satisfaction," the report about Kim's visit to the sub-unit said.

Kim was accompanied by generals and took pictures with soldiers in both cases, according to KCNA.

The reports follow one dated Saturday saying the North Korean leader watched a soccer match between teams of the military, his third public appearance since foreign reports surfaced in September that he had suffered a stroke.

Speculation surrounding Kim's health intensified after the leader stayed away from celebrations for the 60th anniversary of the country's founding on Sept. 9. North Korea has denied charges that he has suffered a health setback.
