VIENNA, April 29 (AP) - (Kyodo)—A 28-year-old woman returning from a trip to Guatemala via Mexico and then Miami has been confirmed as being infected with swine flu in Austria, the first case of infection in the country, local health authorities said Wednesday.

The Austrian Ministry of Health said the woman, living in Vienna, tested positive for the swine flu virus. After visiting her parents in Guatemala, the woman transited at the Mexico City airport where she waited six hours for a flight to Miami.

She stayed in Miami for several days before returning to Vienna via Dusseldorf, Germany. The woman already had health problems on her flight to Europe and went to a hospital immediately after she arrived in Vienna.
