CHATHAM, N.J. (AP) - A Roman Catholic priest found stabbed to death last week is set to be remembered at his home parish in New Jersey.

A burial Mass in honor of the Rev. Ed Hinds will be held Saturday morning at St. Patrick Church in Chatham. Bishop Arthur Seratelli is scheduled to speak at the service.

Hinds' body was discovered Oct. 23 in the church rectory after he failed to show up for 8 a.m. Mass. He was dressed in clerical robes and appeared to be brewing coffee at the time.

Jose Feliciano, the church's janitor, has been charged in Hinds' murder. Authorities say Feliciano stabbed Hinds 32 times with a kitchen knife. He is being held on $1 million bail.

According to court documents, Hinds had discussed firing Feliciano one day before his death.
