Swimming: Kato, Terakawa rewrite short-course records at World Cup meet+

meet+ (AP) - TOKYO, Nov. 8 (Kyodo)—Japan's Yuka Kato and Aya Terakawa both set new Japanese short-course records at a World Cup meet in Stockholm on Saturday.

Kato clocked 56.91 seconds, 0.10 seconds off the previous record set by Ayako Doi in 2008, in winning the women's 100-meter butterfly, while Terakawa won the 50 backstroke in 26.32, 0.08 off her own record.

In men's action, 100 backstroke world gold medalist Junya Koga won the 100 individual medley in 54.75.
