TOKYO, Nov. 9 (AP) - (Kyodo)—The mass rally against the controversial plan on relocating the U.S. Marine Corps' Futemma Air Station within Okinawa Prefecture "symbolized the mixed feelings of Okinawa residents," Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama said Monday.

Commenting on the rally of more than 20,000 people in Ginowan Sunday, Hatoyama said in Tokyo, "We need to think a great deal of their feelings."

The protestors urged Hatoyama to reject the transfer of the military airfield to Nago, Okinawa, in his talks with U.S. President Barack Obama later this week.

They adopted a resolution stating, "The small island of Okinawa doesn't need a base any more. We oppose the construction of a new facility in the Henoko (district of Nago) and (Futemma's) relocation within Okinawa."
