The figurines, not for sale but worth a total of 30 million yen, were made by Tanaka Kikinzoku and Walt Disney Co. (Japan) to celebrate the release of the Blu-ray disc version of Disney's 1937 animation film classic on Nov. 4.
Fifteen artisans worked on the figurines for six months, using about 1.6 kilograms of gold, according to the two companies.
The figurine set depicts Snow White singing accompanied by music performed by the dwarfs.
Snow White is 25 centimeters tall and holds an apple embedded with pieces of diamond. The dwarfs measure 11 to 14 cm in height.
After public viewing between Thursday and Sunday in the Shinsaibashi store, the set will travel for display to the jeweler's other outlets in the cities of Nagoya, Sendai and Fukuoka.
