The "Visit Japan" fare is up to 65 percent lower than regular fares. It is the first time a Japanese airline has offered a discount fare aimed only at tourists from abroad, according to the Miyazaki-based budget airline.
Advance booking is not available for the discount fare, and tickets can be purchased only when there is a seat available at the airport of departure, the airline said.
Non-Japanese passport holders entering Japan for sightseeing under the temporary visitor status would be eligible to buy the discount ticket.
The temporary visitor status allows a foreign tourist to stay in Japan for 90 days.

The eight air routes operated by Skynet Asia are those connecting Tokyo's Haneda airport with airports in Nagasaki, Kumamoto, Miyazaki and Kagoshima prefectures in Kyushu, and routes connecting Naha airport in Okinawa Prefecture with airports in the four prefectures.
