California authorities investigate destructive wildfire near Sacramento
THE ASSOCIATED PRESS LINCOLN, Calif. - Authorities are investigating the cause of a grass fire that destroyed three homes northeast of Sacramento, California.

The fire started in the town of Lincoln on Monday afternoon and quickly spread.
It threatened 400 houses at one time but is now 80 per cent contained.
Hundreds of people fled the area, but most have been allowed to return.
