For the second time in as many weeks, Blue Bell Creameries has issued a product recall for additional single-serving products. The products recalled are the single-serving cups (3 FL. Oz.) of chocolate, strawberry and vanilla. These cups are sold to the education and other institutional markets and are not sold in retail outlets.

Nearly 166,000 convicted criminal illegal aliens were released by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) as of April, 2014. This is the analysis of 76 pages of DHS documents obtained by Judicial Watch via Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests. The criminal illegal aliens include rapists, murderers and kidnappers.

Foundation Honoring Murdered BP Agent Brian Terry to Host Fundraiser in Texas

The Brian Terry Foundation will host a fundraising golf tournament in North Texas in April at the Tour 18 golf course in Flower Mound. The Brian Terry foundation was established by the family of murdered U.S. Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry who was killed in the line of duty in southern Arizona in December, 2010 by Mexican bandits. The foundation was established to assist the family members of other Border Patrol agents who lose their lives in the line of duty.

Texas Patient Tests Negative for Ebola Virus

The Amarillo Department of Public Health has sounded the all-clear for now on the patient who is being monitored for possible exposure to the Ebola virus. Two people who had recently traveled from Liberia in West Africa to the United States were transported to Northwest Texas Hospital after the child developed a fever. All of the people who were traveling in this group are being monitored for any potential development of Ebola symptoms.

Two Time Loser: Obama’s Campaign Advisor Fails to Turn Texas and Israel Blue

AUSTIN, Texas – The former campaign advisor to President Barack Obama who was sent to Israel to defeat Netanyahu, failed as miserably with his “Battleground Israel” efforts as he did with Battleground Texas. Jeremy Bird led efforts by Democrats and the White House to have their own candidate elected, but that candidate lost in a landslide election. Battleground Texas candidates were just as soundly trounced in Texas in 2014. Breitbart News reported that Bird was sent to Israel by the Obama campaign team to try to unseat Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and they did so through an organization that receives taxpayer grants from the U.S. Department of State.

Texas Senate Takes Step Towards Approving Concealed Campus Carry

AUSTIN, Texas – The Texas Senate, along a party-line vote, gave preliminary approval to the “Campus Carry Bill” which would allow people with a concealed handgun license (CHL) to carry a concealed handgun on public campuses of colleges and universities. The bill withstood a five hour floor debate and then more than two-dozen amendments. The preliminary vote came with a 20-11 vote.

Texas House Committee Moves Open Carry and Concealed Carry Bills Closer to Passage

Legislation to allow open carry by people licensed to carry concealed handguns and the authorization to carry concealed handguns on college campuses moved closer to passage after testimony was heard in a Texas House committee. Homeland Security and Public Safety Chairman Larry Phillips (R-Sherman) held two sessions for public testimony on Tuesday.

Texas Worker Misclassification Bill Could Decrease Illegal Immigration

A bill aimed at cracking down on companies that intentionally misclassify workers as independent contractors rather than employees could help reduce the numbers of unlawful workers in Texas. Companies use worker misclassification as a tool to cheat the system and create an unfair competitive advantage over companies that properly classify their workers as employees. The misclassification also allows companies to cheat workers out of overtime pay and benefits. Additionally companies frequently use worker misclassification as a tool to work people not legally eligible to work in the United States.

Texas Legislature Ready to Move Forward on Open Carry Bill

The Texas Senate is expected to a bring pro-gun open carry bill to the floor for a vote as early as Monday. The move comes after the 60-day bill filing period ended on Friday. The Texas Legislature may now vote on and pass any bills. Before the first sixty days has passed, the Legislature may only approve bills on issues designated as “emergency items” by the Governor.

Blue Bell Ice Cream has First Ever Recall After Three Kansans Die

The Texas ice cream icon, Blue Bell Ice Cream, has issued its first ever recall after three people in Kansas died from illness linked back to some of its products. No one in Texas has been affected by illness at this point. Five people in total have been diagnosed with contracting the listeriosis bacteria. Only the products shown in the photo above have potentially been exposed and recalled.

Univ of Houston Professor Apologizes for ‘Ill-Conceived Attempt at Humor’

HOUSTON, Texas – University of Houston Political Science Professor Cyrus Ali Contractor apologized to his students for the inappropriate email message he emailed Wednesday night. The professor apologized for the message which contained a fake “1st draft of Sen. Cotton’s Letter” which some students found to be in poor taste.

Border Patrol Agents Rescue Pregnant Woman and 36 Immigrants 80 Miles from Texas Border

Border Patrol agents operating in Brooks County (Falfurrias) rescued a pregnant woman and a man who were lost in the brush. In a separate incident, agents at the Falfurrias checkpoint rescued 36 undocumented aliens who were being smuggled in a refrigerated trailer. The discovery of the shivering immigrants was made after a Border Patrol K-9 alerted agents.

Texas Bill: ‘Spring Forward’ may ‘Fall Back’ for the Last Time in 2015

A bill that would have Texas opt out of Daylight Savings Time (DST) will have a hearing in the Government Transparency and Operation Committee on Wednesday. If the bill is enacted into law, it will take effect on September 1, 2015 unless it receives a two-thirds majority. If this happens the law would take effect immediately upon being signed by Governor Greg Abbott.

Over 2,000 Criminal Illegal Aliens Arrested in Nationwide Bust

Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE) announced the arrest of 2,059 convicted criminals, all criminal aliens, during a nationwide operation. “Operation Cross Check” was led by the ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) group. 1,000 of the captured criminal aliens were targeted because they had felony convictions. Those range from voluntary manslaughter, child pornography, robbery, kidnapping and rape. Fifty-eight of those captured were known gang members, while eighty-nine were convicted sex offenders.

Breitbart Texas announced it’s sponsorship of a podcast hosted by the National Border Patrol Council (NBPC). All 254 counties of the State of Texas have Republican Party chairs for the second time during Munisteri’s tenure. This was one of his top priorities when he took office in the summer of 2010.

‘La Bestia’ Raided 153 Times by Mexican Immigration Officials During 2014

The train which became known as “La Bestia” was raided by Mexican immigration authorities 153 times during 2014. The announcement follows direct observation by Breitbart Texas of Mexican immigration officials cracking down on some of the Central Americans who swarmed into Texas last summer.
Mexican authorities made the announcement on March 3rd, according to a report on Fox News. After the massive invasion by Central Americans into Texas, Mexican immigration officials began tracking down common smuggling routes including the infamous train. The 153 raids on “La Bestia” were part of 758 immigration inspections conducted during the past year.

Texas Leaders Seek Investigation into Obama Admin’s Misrepresentation in Federal Court

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton filed a motion for discovery on Thursday to investigate whether the Obama Administration misrepresented actions taken under President Obama’s executive orders granting amnesty to illegal immigrants. Governor Greg Abbott and Lt. Governor Dan Patrick quickly issued statements of support of the call for an investigation. The issue revolves around admissions by the Administration that tens of thousands of work permits have already been issued to illegal immigrants, a direct contradiction to facts presented in federal court.
