The committee danced around the issue of sanctuary city policies but offered no real direction.

Pro-Obama amnesty activists from the Texas Organizing Project (TOP) disrupted a standing-room-only, grassroots event hosted by Texas Governor Greg Abbott in Houston on Tuesday. Chanting “Stop the Lawsuit” and “DACA… DAPA,” outside the gathering, the activists sent two people inside in two separate incidents to disrupt the Texas governor’s meeting.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott called for police officers across the state of Texas to honor the funeral of slain Harris County Deputy Sheriff Darren Goforth on Friday. HOUSTON, Texas – Authorities in Harris County have identified the alleged killer of a Harris County Sheriff’s Deputy as Shannon Juruary Miles, 31. Breitbart Texas has learned that Miles has an extensive history with law enforcement in Harris County. Miles is being charged with capital murder involving the killing of a police officer. His extensive criminal history includes trespassing, criminal mischief, resisting arrest, evading detention. It appears he had a state jail felony arrest for criminal mischief, but the charge was pleaded down to a misdemeanor charge.

A “person of interest” in connection with the Friday night execution style murder of a Texas sheriff’s deputy is currently in custody at the Harris County Sheriff’s Office. The man was taken into custody after a search warrant was executed very early Saturday morning within blocks of where a Harris County, Texas, sheriff’s deputy was shot in the back of the head at point-blank range.

HOUSTON, Texas — A Harris County Sheriff’s Deputy was shot execution style at a gas station while reportedly in full uniform. The deputy was filling up his patrol car. Witnesses told Breitbart Texas the shooter shot the deputy in the back of the head and then three times in the back. This tragedy comes within days of a group of Black radicals calling for “lynching whites and killing cops,” as Breitbart Texas recently reported. Witnesses also told Breitbart Texas that the shooter was a black male.

WALLER COUNTY, Texas — University Drive at Prairie View A&M University has been renamed “Sandra Bland Parkway.” The Prairie View City Council named the street after the woman who was arrested on that street and later died in a Waller County, Texas, jail.

The mother of Sandra Bland wasted no time in filing a federal civil rights lawsuit on behalf of herself and Bland’s estate. Bland committed suicide in a Waller County jail after being arrested by a Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) trooper for a traffic violation and assaulting a police officer.
