Jerry Brown: Exec Amnesty Opponents ‘Un-Christian’

California Governor Jerry Brown (D) has accused Americans opposed to President Barack Obama’s executive amnesty for illegal immigrants of being “un-Christian.” Brown, who has declared that all illegal immigrants from Mexico are “welcome” in California, made his remarks after a White House meeting on Friday while discussing the lawsuit that a majority of the states filed against Obama’s executive amnesty.

Disney’s ‘Cinderella’ Debuts with $70.1 Million Weekend Box-Office Haul

Disney’s recent streak continued over the weekend with the $70.1 million North American debut of its traditional, sumptuously costumed fairy tale adaptation “Cinderella,” according to studio estimates Sunday. Interest in the film, directed by Kenneth Branagh and starring Lily James of “Downton Abbey”, was boosted by a “Frozen” short, “Frozen Fever,” that played before the feature.

India Police: Robbers Gang Rape Nun in Her 70s at School

A nun in her 70s was gang-raped by a group of bandits Saturday when she tried to prevent them from robbing a Christian missionary school in eastern India, police said, the latest crime to focus attention on the scourge of sexual violence in the country.
