A new generation of Amazins is heading to the World Series. Daniel Murphy homered for a record sixth consecutive postseason game and the Mets brushed aside the Cubs 8-3 Wednesday night, capping a National League Championship Series in which New York never trailed. Lucas Duda hit a three-run homer in the first inning and a two-run double in the second, silencing a sellout crowd of 42,227 at Wrigley Field desperately hoping for the beginning of an epic comeback in Game 4.

Pennsylvania Man Charged with Raping Boy, Admits He’s HIV Positive

NORTH MIDDLETON TWP, Pa. — A Harrisburg man is charged with a host of crimes related to the sexual assault of a 6 year-old boy. Police say Ira Task, 61, made arrangements with another man, William Byers-Augusta, 19, of North Middleton Township, to bring the 6 year-old victim to his residence at 1519 North 2nd Street in Harrisburg for sex.

Back Home, Blue Jays Beat Royals 11-8

Troy Tulowitzki, Josh Donaldson and the slugging Toronto Blue Jays were eager to return to their homer dome after dropping the first two games of the AL Championship Series in Kansas City. They showed everyone why. The Blue Jays came out swinging and their rowdy fans were singing from the start, with Tulowitzki and Donaldson connecting in a six-run third inning as Toronto roughed up Johnny Cueto and the Royals for an 11-8 victory that cut Kansas City’s series lead to 2-1.
