Immigrant and Customs Enforcement say an increasing number of cities and counties across the United States are limiting cooperation with the agency and putting its officers in dangerous situations as they track down foreign-born criminals. Instead, more of its force is out on the streets, eating up resources and conducting investigations because cities like New York and states like California have passed legislation that limits many of the detention requests issued by immigration authorities.

ICE Arrests 244 Criminal Aliens In Southern California

The four-day enforcement action took place last week. Fifty-six percent of the arrestees had serious and/or violent felony convictions including sex crimes against children, weapons charges, and drug convictions. The remaining 44 percent had “significant or multiple misdemeanors.” Four of the criminal immigrants had been previously deported and illegally reentered the U.S., including a Mexican national convicted of “sexual abuse with force” in New York.

Latin America Tops Global List Of Most Emotional, Positive Nations

Gallup’s 2015 Global Emotions report released Thursday quantifies positive and negative experiences of 148 countries’ residents via 153,000 interviews conducted in 2014. The interviews probed residents on 10 questions to gauge their positive and negative emotions from the day before. Countries in Latin America top the list of the world’s most emotional and positive nations.

2016 Presidential Hopefuls Among Most Influential Marijuana Consumers
