Monday night the Senate voted to advance its six-year highway legislation, including an extension of the Export-Import Bank attached. Conservatives are, however, staunchly opposed to Ex-Im’s reauthorization and House Leadership has indicated it will not take up the Senate’s bill.

Latino Groups Bristle At Feds’ Effort To Recoup Illegally Issued 3-Year Amnesty

The Obama administration has taken extensive efforts to try to recoup some 2,600 three-year work permits issued in violation of a federal district court’s injunction halting President Obama’s executive amnesty programs — expanded DACA and Deferred Action for Parents of Americans and Lawful Permanent Residents (DAPA). USCIS is simply replacing the three-year permits with the allowable two-year documents. Latino groups are complaining.

Democrats Call For Improved Communication Following Steinle Murder

“Whenever an innocent person is lost to violence, as a society we should consider what steps we can take to make our communities safer. Jim Steinle: Obama Has Not Offered Condolences Following Murder

Answering a question from Rep. John Ratcliffe (R-TX) as to whether Obama had expressed condolences to his family since his daughter’s murder — Steinle indicated that he had not. “I’m very sorry to hear that when there have been other very public deaths in this country like Michael Brown and Trayvon Martin and Freddie Gray the president has expressed his condolences to the family. I would have expected him to do that here,” Ratcliffe responded.

Jindal: USCIS Head Must Go For Diluting Oath Of Citizenship Requirements

“I think the President needs to fire the director immediately. I think Congress needs to pass a law to stop them from changing the oath,” Jindal said in an interview with Breitbart News Wednesday. “Let’s be honest here, immigration without assimilation is invasion. Obama Administration Proposing More Unilateral Immigration Actions

In a proposed rule from the Department of Homeland Security, the administration seeks to expand on a 2013 rule— which allowed illegal immigrants with a U.S. citizen spouse or parent to apply for a waiver in the U.S. from the requirement that they return to their home countries for three to 10 years to apply for legal status, if they could prove “extreme hardship.”

In an email to Republican colleagues Tuesday, obtained by Breitbart News, King recalls a conversation he had with Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) Monday in which the GOP leader inquired about his level of support for the sanctuary city bill the House is slated to vote on this week. “Leader McCarthy called me Monday and asked me a point blank question – If the Duncan Hunter bill is brought to the Floor would you oppose it? I said No. This bill moves the ball in the right direction,” he wrote.
