February Ties Record: 92,898,000 Americans Not In The Workforce

Despite the seemingly rosy 5.5 percent unemployment rate, 92,898,000 Americans ages 16 and over were neither employed nor had made “specific efforts to find employment sometime during the 4-week period ending with the reference week,” a record number of people out of the workforce.

House Approves Clean DHS Funding Bill

The House passed full funding of DHS through September 30 — leaving President Obama’s executive amnesty untouched. The vote was 257-167 and the measure passed with majority Democratic votes. Seventy-five Republicans voted to pass the clean bill, 167 voted against passage.
