Hillary Clinton: I’d Be Okay with Closing Below Average Schools

Speaking in Iowa at a town hall event Monday, Hillary Clinton was discussing a recent veto of funding by the state’s Republican governor. “These schools throughout Iowa are doing a better than average job,” Clinton said. She then added a caveat, “Now I wouldn’t keep any school open that wasn’t doing a better than average job.”

Professional protesters Johnetta Elzie and Deray McKesson have put together a website, demands.org, listing demands made by various student protest groups at campuses across the country (as well as some in Canada). The website currently contains demands or links to lists from 37 schools.
