Exclusive: Sen. Ted Cruz In South Carolina: I’m ‘Very, Very Seriously’ Considering White House Run in 2016

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) tells Breitbart News that he’s “very, very seriously” considering launching a presidential candidacy for 2016. Cruz adds that he thinks a bold conservative needs to win the GOP nomination next time around, or else he fears Democrats are likely to win the White House as they did in 2008 and 2012. Cruz said the “energy and enthusiasm” in South Carolina at the Tea Party convention is “electric” a year out from the GOP primaries for 2016. South Carolina is the first primary state in the south, making it a key stop for Republicans who want to be president.

Conservative movement leaders are unveiling the mandate they say Republicans have heading into this new Congress, after voters gave them a majority in both the House and Senate for the first time during President Obama’s tenure.

The document, obtained exclusively by Breitbart News, details how the conservative leaders expect Republicans in Congress to “stop” Obama’s “fundamental transformation of America,” something they say the American people made clear in the 2014 midterm elections with such resounding GOP victories.

26 Republicans Vote Against Blackburn Amendment To Defund Obama’s Executive Amnesty For Illegal Aliens

A whopping 26 Republicans joined the Democrats in Congress to vote against an amendment to the DHS funding bill sponsored by Rep. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN). That amendment aims to block funds for President Obama’s 2012 Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), largely believed to be the root cause of the border crisis last summer. Blackburn described her amendment as something that cuts off the magnet for future illegal immigration by Unaccompanied Alien Children (UAC’s) to the United States.

Pelosi Fear Mongers, Using Paris Terror Attacks To Support Obama’s Executive Amnesty

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi is fear mongering against congressional Republicans’ efforts to block funding for President Barack Obama’s executive amnesty, citing the Paris terrorist attacks in an attempt to scare Americans. Pelosi said she and her fellow Democrats were “disappointed” that Republicans split Department of Homeland Security (DHS) funding out from the full 1,774-page $1.1 trillion “cromnibus” spending bill, and are now aiming to block funding for Obama’s executive amnesty in it. The House passed a bill aimed at doing so on Wednesday.

Sessions: Senate Dems Must Consider Gravity Of Executive Amnesty Funding Vote

After the House passed legislation on Wednesday that aims to block funding for President Barack Obama’s executive amnesty, the focus now turns to the Senate—and specifically that body’s Democratic members—Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL) says. “To the American people, millions of whom are hurting and neglected, I give you this message on behalf of every Republican pushing to end this amnesty: we are going to fight for you, and I am asking you to share your concerns with members of the Senate,” Sessions said.

At least two senior analysts for the libertarian-leaning Cato Institute are attacking Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL) 25-page roadmap forward for the new Republican majority in Congress on the crucial issue of immigration. Jeff Sessions Pens 25-Page Roadmap for New Republican Majority

Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL) is explaining what he thinks the Republican Party position on immigration should be in a 25-page document delivered to all Republican members of Congress and all their key staffers on Capitol Hill. “‘Immigration reform’ may be the single most abused phrase in the English language. It has become a legislative honorific almost exclusively reserved for proposals which benefit everyone but actual American citizens,” Sessions writes in the introduction.

Boehner Retaliation Haunts Republicans Who Defended, Voted for Him

House Speaker John Boehner’s decision to retaliate, or exact “revenge” as Politico put it, against at least two House Republicans who voted for a Republican alternative is haunting Republicans who supported him conference-wide and sparking a discussion in the party about the role Boehner should play as Speaker—and Republican members should play in challenging his authority.

Senior conservatives in Congress are rallying around a bill from Rep. Robert Aderholt (R-AL) that aims to block funding for President Barack Obama’s executive amnesty while forcing the administration to start enforcing immigration laws. Sessions has issued a lengthy statement explaining the problem with executive amnesty and reminding his colleagues of Republican National Committee (RNC) chairman Reince Priebus’ pre-election promise to block funds for Obama’s amnesty.

Exclusive — Rand Paul Slams ‘Moderate’ Bush, Christie, Pushes Cuts To ‘Crap’ Obama Spending With Purse Power

Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) says former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, a fellow likely 2016 GOP presidential candidate, is a “moderate.” Calling a Republican who’s seeking the GOP nomination a “moderate” is a clear insult in Republican presidential primary politics. During that selection process, each of the candidates is likely to focus on highlighting conservative credentials to please GOP base voters. Paul further hinted Bush would be open to tax increases and more government spending, positions no candidate is likely to take while trying to win the nomination.
