A harsh winter storm is bringing icy roads and snow to the central western region hitting North Texas, South eastern Oklahoma, and Arkansas. The storm is causing heavy rains and cold temps to fan out north and east from Texas bringing a wet weekend for most of the south and midwest. Already over a dozen deaths have been blamed on the storm.

Chicago was subjected to a second night of protests after the release of police dashcam video depicting the 2014 shooting of an African American teen, with protesters fanning out beyond the planned protests and even destroying Christmas tree decorations while yelling “black lives matter” and “F*ck your Christmas tree!” Protesters are also threatening to shut down Black Friday shopping downtown.
