Married Secret Service Motto: 'Wheels Up, Rings Off'

The Secret Service prostitution scandal continues to grow today with the Washington Post reporting that “as many as 20 U.S. Secret Service and military personnel might have been involved” in the procuring of prostitutes in Caragena, Colombia. At least nine military personnel may have been involved; at least 11 Secret Service agents have been suspended.

Apparently, the informal motto among married Secret Service agents is “wheels up, rings off,” the Post reports. The Secret Service has been deeply embarrassed by the incident, and Secret Service Director Mark Sullivan told Service agents today that there would be a “thorough and fair” investigation, and that “it is my hope that each of us will be steadfast in our efforts to ensure that our performance and behavior mirror the oath we have sworn to uphold.”

The question is why the left is concerned about this situation at all. Presumably all sexual choices that are consensual are fine according to the left; there are no allegations that the Secret Service agents were using taxpayer dollars for the procurement. What, exactly, is the left’s beef?
