Investigative Report: Progressive Vote Fraud and Intimidation

From Accuracy In Media’s Logan Churchwell:

For too long, the American public has maintained a fragmented knowledge of vote fraud and intimidation. The mainstream press have treated the issue as if it were a grab-bag of accusations, rumor and conspiracy theories for electoral losers. Anyone protesting to the contrary would risk being branded as proponents of voter suppression or worse, racism.

Progressives often excuse the hands-off approach to voter identification requirements by arguing that it would limit the poor’s ability to participate in elections. The more radical activist will claim that such proposals harken back to the Jim Crow days. However, AIM’s investigative report shows how ‘the poor’ are crucial in achieving the Left’s goals for electoral policy and dominance. Report author Jim Simpson explains, “Low income individuals are the perfect dupes for this [progressive vote fraud] strategy. An expanding welfare state makes them increasingly dependent on government benefits, a development that guarantees their vote for liberal-left candidates. At the same time, people with marginal attachment to society may be less inclined to report illegal activity at the polls–or actually participate.”

The Accuracy In Media report offers a four step explanation of what to expect in 2012 and cycles to come.

Step 1. Swamp election officials with overwhelming numbers of registrations at the last possible minute, a huge proportion of which are deliberately fraudulent, in order to create systematic chaos.

Step 2. Activists sue state authorities for “voter suppression,” creating further chaos and pressuring them to become de facto taxpayer-funded voter registration operations.

Step 3. Eric Holder’s Justice Department tacitly supports voter intimidation tactics, sues states and backs private lawsuits, and resists reform as “voter suppression.”

Step 4. The Leftist echo chamber and mainstream media discredit allegations of vote fraud, supports “suppression” theme, and promotes advantageous legislation.

Special report author Jim Simpson summarized the strategy:

The ultimate goal is a systematized, taxpayer-funded voting machinery that will guarantee maximum participation from the Left’s voting demographic while undermining the ability to manage elections and prevent fraud.

AIM’s investigation shows that this is only an interim strategy. Greater designs proposed by Soros-funded groups and Van Jones affiliated activists are already pushing for even more radical policies. This report is designed for the grassroots watchdog and citizen journalist to spot, prevent and assist in exposing fraud this November.
