Coming off a string of strong debate performances, Virginia Tea Party Republican senate candidate Jamie Radtke will begin airing a radio ad statewide on Wednesday, which Breitbart News has exclusively obtained, that frames establishment Republican ex-senator George Allen as a candidate of the past who will have trouble debating–and defeating–Democrat Tim Kaine in the fall.
“George Allen is an election disaster waiting to happen and Tim Kaine knows it,” a voice actor says in the ad.
The radio ad then plays a clip of Allen bumbling and stumbling in responding to a question about why he voted to increase his own salary. In the clip, Allen stumbles over his words and mumbles while trying to explain why he voted to increase his salary while he was in the Senate.
“Senator George Allen backed trillions in new debt partly to pay for his own salary increases,” the voice actor says before casting Radtke as the fresh alternative to the status quo.
Virginia’s senate primary is on June 12, and Radtke is hoping to catch fire in the closing weeks and ride the anti-establishment wave that has propelled insurgent candidates to victory in Nebraska and Indiana.
