Virginia Democrats Say Voter Fraud Acceptable–and Blame Cain, AFP

During the first stop of the Americans For Prosperity (AFP) “Real Facts, Real Solutions” bus tour in Virginia, a small group of protestors–organized by the Democratic Party of Virginia–held signs accusing AFP of voter fraud. When asked to comment, they said nothing, then stated clearly that a certain amount of voter fraud is acceptable.

The protesters were mostly kids in their late teens and early 20’s. Organizing them were Brian Coy, Communications Director for the Virginia Democrat Party, and Cesar Del Aguila, leader of the Fairfax County Democratic Committee.

I attempted to ask the young man holding the sign what proof he had of AFP voter fraud, but he gave no answer. Organizers, including Del Aguila and a man under the direction of Coy directed the protesters not to answer any questions.

Del Aguila did speak to Katz on camera, and seemed to dismiss cases of voter fraud as a small percentage, and acceptable:

Katz – Do we agree with James O’Keefe that there is voter fraud?

Del Aguila – At what percentage?

Katz – What percentage is ok for you?

Del Aguila – Six Sigma?

Katz – I don’t understand what you mean. What percentage is ok of voter fraud? You’re saying that AFP commits voter fraud. I’d like to know if you have any proof of that. I’d love to see it.

Del Aguila – 999

Six Sigma is a business strategy made famous by Jack Welch, former CEO of General Electric, that attempts to decrease defects in a product line to an acceptable level. On their website, GE states that Six Sigma would lead to a process that only allows for 3.4 defects per million.

How is it that Democrats claim that voter fraud doesn’t exist, yet can also claim that Americans For Prosperity support it? Del Aguila confirms that Virginia Democrats agree voter fraud exists, but that they are ok with a certain percentage of it. When further pressed on why he blamed 999–and by extension Herman Cain?–Del Aguila provided no answer.

The Americans For Prosperity “Real Facts, Real Solutions” bus tour continues through Saturday. Coy and Del Aguila confirmed that they will be following the tour to other locations. All are welcome at each stop.
