Biden to Campaign in Tampa During RNC

This morning, Secret service agents were in Tampa, Florida, laying the groundwork for Vice President Joe Biden’s visit next week, when Republicans have their convention, according to the Drudge Report.

And the Washington Post confirms, according to a Democratic source, that Biden will indeed be “rallying supporters in Tampa” on Monday, August 27.

Biden has been sent exclusively to safe blue states after a gaffe-filled week in which the lowlight was his comments to a Danville, Virginia audience, nearly half of which was black, that Republicans were “gonna put y’all back in chains.”

Biden’s race-baiting comments were denounced by prominent black politicians like former Virginia Gov. Doug Wilder, and rumors swirled that the Obama campaign had been seriously considering replacing Biden with Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on the ticket.

Further, a new e-book that detailed the drama and disarray in the Obama campaign, revealed Biden and Obama’s advisers have clashed repeatedly, especially since Biden seems to have an eye on a potential 2016 presidential run.

The Obama campaign will most likely ensure that the undisciplined Biden, who is often prone to freelancing, will be on a short leash.
