Romney: Obama 'Jumped Gun' Casting Libya Attack as Unplanned

According to a tweet fired off by CBS News’ Chief Legal and Political Correspondent, Jan Crawford, GOP nominee Mitt Romney has finally hit Barack Obama for his and the State Department’s unforgivable attempt to nothing-to-see-here the targeted assassination of Chris Stevens, our ambassador in Libya:

In intv, Romney hits Obama on “bumps in the road,” tells me “it’s pretty clear the WH jumped the gun” in casting Libya attack as unplanned.

For the last two weeks, the corrupt media has refused to crystallize this story into what it is: an Administration attempting to turn the targeted assassination of an American ambassador (who feared for his life) into the story of a spontaneous protest gone bad over a stupid film.

We now know this was a lie – a lie told by people desperate to downplay and distract from a successful terrorist attack that cost four American lives on the eleventh anniversary of September 11th — and to do so with misinformation and the scapegoating of some hapless Christian filmmaker.

“Bumps in the road” is what our president calls four terrorist murders and the Middle East exploding with anti-American rage in dozens of hot sports. “Bumps in the road” is what our president calls Iran being closer to a nuke than ever before and al-Qaeda flags flying over our embassies.

Of course, Obama and the corrupt media want to downplay as “bumps in the road” the fact that Obama’s entire Middle East policy of disengagement and counting on his own awesomeness…

…has not only failed, but backfired completely.

With regards to Libya, what we’re seeing unfold by the day is a potential White House cover-up unlike anything we’ve seen in decades. If you watched yesterday’s Sunday shows or are looking around at the media today, you can see that Obama’s Media Palace Guards are desperate to memory-hole the story enirely.

But if you look at his comments to CBS News, Mitt Romney isn’t about to let this go. And this is what Romney told ABC News today:

Well I think the president’s comments on 60 minutes last night were quite revealing. His indication that developments in the middle east represent bumps in the road is a very different view than i Have. The president, uh, I can’t imagine saying something like the assassination of ambassadors is a bump in the road, when you look at the entire context, The assassination,  the Muslim brotherhood president being elected in Egypt, 20,000 people killed in Syria, Iran close to becoming a nuclear nation these are far from being bumps in the road. They represent events that are spinning out of the kind of influence we’d like to have. We’re at the mercy events rather than shaping the events in the Middle East. and the president doesn’t have time to actually spend time with leaders of these nations particularly Bibi Netanyahu, I find that very troubling.

Hopefully, this is just the beginning of Romney holding Obama accountable for his failed Middle East policies and most importantly, this Administration’s lies about what happened that fateful day in Libya; especially the fatal security lapses.

Because if Romney doesn’t hold Obama’s feet to the fire, the media’s already shown they have absolutely no intention of chasing what should be the biggest story in the country right now.
