Sen. John Kerry (D-MA) has been playing Mitt Romney in President Barack Obama’s debate prep sessions and he said on Wednesday that he would need an “exorcism” after Monday’s final debate between Obama and Romney to purge Romney out of him.
After sparring against Kerry, Obama got pummeled by Romney in the first debate. It was the most lopsided debate loss in history and may have single-handedly cost Obama the presidency.
The Obama campaign also tried to throw Kerry under the bus after the first debate.
Kerry, on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” joked he would need an exorcism and the debate prep sessions have “been an interesting exercise.”
“I’ve decided next Tuesday I’ve got to have an exorcism of Romney out of my being,” Kerry said.
