True the Vote, the Texas-based nonpartisan nonprofit leading our nation’s efforts to protect election and voter registration systems, gathered this evening for a final meeting of the minds before the November 6, 2012 US presidential elections.
Under fire from vote fraud deniers, prominent Democratic Party leaders, and left-of-center media, True the Vote has survived and thrived into an organization began by one woman and her small Tea party group into an organization with hundreds of thousands volunteers and participants.
Hundreds of core-volunteers gathered at the True the Vote headquarters for a final pep talk to help them get through these final days days and hours before the elections. Both founder Catherine Engelbrecht and head adviser and attorney, J.Christian Adams, addressed the large gathering and inspired them to keep pushing on through the attacks and smears from left-of-center media.
“These people are salt-of-the-earth citizens, moms and dads, grandparents, who simply want to follow the laws and ensure that others do the same on election day. They’ve been branded as intimidators or criminals not only by far Left activists and racialists such as Brentin Mock, but also apparent ideological counterparts in congress such as Democrat Rep. Elijah Cummings.” says J. Christian Adams.
