Sen. Sessions to EPA: Show Me Evidence for Obama's Global Warming Agitprop

Today, Senator Jeff Sessions (R-AL) directed a letter to Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Lisa Jackson asking for clarification on President Obama’s recent statement that “the temperature around the globe is increasing faster than was predicted even 10 years ago.” That position has been used by the administration to push the possibility of vastly increased regulation of carbon emissions.

Sessions wrote:

This statement is contradicted by the facts. The actual temperature data show no significant change in global temperatures over the past decade and certainly less warming than the climate change models predicted.

Sessions asked for answers on three specific questions. First, he asked whether Obama could show data demonstrating the truth of his statement; second, he asked what that data was; third, he asked for the administration’s “chart of the global average temperature increases since 1979 … versus the latest IPCC predictions.”

Obama’s global warming propaganda will not go unchallenged. It must not, or the press will certainly use it to ram through more crippling self-sanctions on the US economy.
