New Yorkers Flock to State Capitol to Protest Cuomo's Gun Grab

People from all over New York flocked to the state capitol on Feb. 28 to protest Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s sweeping gun control measure.

It was a cold day, the wind was blowing, and snow was on the ground, but it was “gun law rebellion day” and New Yorkers were up to the task.

Gun owners showed up in droves to say the governor had overreached with the passage of the “SAFE” act: a draconian measure which makes “tens of thousands of firearms in upstate New York illegal.”

Signs at or around the capitol said, “Protect our 2nd Amendment,” “The Constitution Is Not Negotiable,” and “Cuomo You Will Never Be President.” The signs reflected the fact that the citizens gathered at the capitol believe Cuomo has violated their civil liberties.
