George W. Bush Receives Accolades for Paintings

Former President George W. Bush has received accolades for his paintings, especially those of various dogs and puppies.

Bonnie Flood, the painter who taught Bush for a month, told Atlanta’s Fox affiliate that Bush will “go down in the history books as a great artist.”

She said Bush started by painting nearly 50 kinds of dogs and puppies before moving on to landscapes as the former president got better at painting and mixing colors.

“He picked it up so quick, it was amazing, actually,” Flood said.

Flood said she called him “43” and only referred to him as “Mr. President” to scold him when he was doing something wrong or not following instructions.  She said the former president was “relaxed–very much like the guy next door.”
