First Lady Michelle Obama is taking her husband’s gun control tour back home to Chicago, according to the Washington Times. She is scheduled to speak at a luncheon that is centered on youth violence.
She is expected to push business leaders in the Windy City to put their money into opportunities for Chicago’s youth community. After the lunch, Michelle Obama has a meeting planned with students and counselors from Harper High School, where 29 current or former students have been shot in the past year. Eight of them died.
At the luncheon, Mayor Rahm Emanuel will host members of some of Chicago’s biggest business groups: The Commercial Club, the Economic Club, the Executives’ Club and World Business Chicago.
