According to the New York Post, Bill and Hillary Clinton are going to make sure Anthony Weiner’s dreams of becoming mayor stay all wet–they will not support him in his efforts.
Sources told the Post that Weiner’s past elicits memories of Bill Clinton’s and that would hurt Hillary in 2016, saying: “The Clintons wish Weiner would just disappear. Every time he pops up, it’s a reminder of Bill’s scandal with Monica Lewinsky, and it isn’t helpful to Hillary’s hopes for 2016.”
Even though Weiner is married to Hillary’s very close associate Huma Abedin, that fact is apparently not enough for the Clintons to help Weiner to rise. The source stated, “The Clintons love Huma. She has a job for life, no matter how much of an embarrassment her husband is. Hillary considers her to be another daughter.”
