EMILY's List Founder Joins Draft for Hillary

The founder of EMILY’s List has endorsed a super PAC formed to draft Hillary Clinton to run for president in 2016 and financially support her efforts.

Ellen Malcolm, a person The Hill noted co-chaired Clinton’s failed 2008 White House bid and founded the influential pro-abortion rights women’s group in the 1980s, supported the “Ready for Hillary” superPAC while speaking on her own–and not for the group.

Others in Hillary World reportedly do not trust the “Ready for Hillary” superPAC yet and are encouraging donors not to give to the group until Hillary or Bill Clinton signal that Hillary is gearing up for a presidential run.

EMILY’s List recently launched its “Madam President” campaign, which is “aimed at electing a Democratic woman to the White House.”
