President of 'Virginians for Limited Government' Org Lives in Minnesota

According to the annual report of Virginians for Limited Government filed with the Virginia State Corporation Commission on May 10, 2013, the organization’s president John Grandson lives in Duluth, Minnesota.

Chairman Demetrios Kouzoukas lives in Falls Church, Virginia. A website associated with an attorney of the same name states that he is of counsel with the Washington, DC-based law firm Covington and Burling. Covington and Burling’s website does not contain a listing for Mr. Kouzoukas.

Treasurer Robert Patten lives in Woodbridge, VA.

When the corporation was organized on April 27, 2012, attorney Lee Goodman, who also serves as General Counsel for the Republican Party of Virginia, was listed as the company’s registered agent.

Breitbart News reported earlier that Virginians for Limited Government paid for two pro-Corey Stewart mailers in the contested Republican nomination for Lieutenant Governor. Several unanswered questions surround the legality of the funding and dissemination of these mailers under Virginia election law.

Breitbart News also reported on Tuesday that Corey Stewart has admitted he is connected to Virginians for Limited Government and has contributed to the organization.

UPDATE:

According to the Corey Stewart for Lieutenant Governor’s campaign website, “Corey was born in Minnesota, to a working class family.” His campaign website also states that he “earned his law degree from William Mitchell College of Law in Saint Paul, Minnesota.”

According to this 2004 obituary of Mr. Stewart’s father printed in the local Duluth paper, the Stewart family is from Duluth, Minnesota.

Sources tell Breitbart News that Mr. Stewart is a 1987 graduate of Duluth, Minnesota Junior Senior High School, but Breitbart News has not been able to confirm this with either the Stewart campaign or Duluth.
