Obama Consoles Student: Subtraction Harder than Addition

Obama Consoles Student: Subtraction Harder than Addition

President Barack Obama had to console an elementary school student in Baltimore on Friday after the student failed to come up with the correct answer to “2 minus 1” when Obama asked students basic arithmetic questions.

Obama replied to the student, “subtraction is tougher than addition.”

According to the Washington Post, the elementary school Obama visited provides the type of “comprehensive early childhood education” the president has touted in speeches and his most recent State of the Union Address.

The president, trying to escape from what Sarah Palin referred to as a “scandalous hat trick” that has rocked his administration, went on what the White House billed as a “Middle Class Jobs & Opportunity Tour.”
