CA Legislators Introduce 15+ Bills Per Day in 2013

If you’ve ever wondered what would happen in a state completely dominated by Democrats, California is finding out in a heavy way. Over the first half of the year’s legislative session, the legislators have introduced a whopping 2,255 bills, ranging from gun and ammunition restrictions to drilling restrictions to prison regulations. The state senate has passed 514 bills, while the assembly has passed 755.

There have been 150 days in this year thus far, not counting weekends or holidays. That means that the legislature has passed more than 8 bills every single day. More than 15 bills have been introduced every day.

There are still hundreds of bills remaining for consideration.
