Benghazi Mom Calls Susan Rice a Liar

Pat Smith, the mother of Sean Smith, the information management officer who was killed in the Benghazi attack, was furious with Barack Obama’s choice of Susan Rice as National Security Adviser. Smith said bluntly, “I don’t understand why Obama would want a proven liar to be his security adviser. That makes no sense to me at all.” Smith, appearing on Sean Hannity’s show, was asked by Hannity what she would say to Obama. She responded, “I would like to say, ‘Please, just listen to the American people. Don’t listen to whoever it is that’s advising you. I don’t know who’s advising you, I don’t know who you’re listening to, but it’s wrong. It’s very wrong. And it won’t help.”

She added a strike at Hillary Clinton, saying bitterly:

I know it was her [responsibility.] I know it was hers. I can’t prove anything, but I know in the depth of my soul, I know it was hers. It was her department, it was her area, and she was in charge. I don’t care if she doesn’t admit it. She was in charge and she should have been in charge. And that’s who Obama was listening to.

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) agreed: “Name one person who has been demoted that was in a position of responsibility. Name one person who has lost their job because of Benghazi. Susan Rice being promoted, or being chosen as National Security Adviser after her performance in Benghazi, basically is the president telling us, ‘I’ve got no problem with what my administration did in Benghazi, misleading the American people.”

Graham added of Rice, “She has a credibility problem, I think, with the average American. … Having said all that, I will work with her because the world is about to blow up, Barack Obama’s foreign policy is a failure and our friends are scared and our enemies are emboldened.”
