Appearing on MSNBC‘s Morning Joe on Tuesday, Gov. Chris Christie (R-NJ) launched into President Obama’s latest “charm offensive,” stating that it is now Obama’s fifth year as president. “It’s a little bit late in the dating game to start to get to know somebody,” said the governor, recently spotted playing games on the Atlantic City boardwalk with Obama.
Christie stated, “The fact is, you need someone to take some leadership. And I’m disappointed that the president hasn’t done that either.” Christie also refused to speculate about his presidential hopes in 2016. “Let me keep doing my job,” he said, apparently referring to his frequent appearances on late-night television. “When those decisions need to be made, I’ll make them.” He said he wouldn’t make a call until 2015.
