Zimmerman Trial to Resume Friday with Trayvon's Mother

On Friday, the George Zimmerman trial will continue with the prosecution concluding its case against Zimmerman for alleged second-degree murder of Trayvon Martin. The prosecution is expected to call Trayvon’s mother, Sybrina Fulton, who is expected to testify that it was Trayvon screaming for help on a neighbor’s 911 call during his fight with Zimmerman before Zimmerman shot him in the chest. It is unclear whether the prosecution will call Trayvon’s father, Tracy Martin, who originally told police that it was not Trayvon’s voice on the call.

The defense is expected to begin its case on Friday. The defense has not stated whether Zimmerman will testify for himself in the trial, although he is widely expected to do so.
