Cruz to Keynote Annual Iowa GOP Reagan Dinner

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) will keynote the Iowa Republican Party’s “Reagan Dinner” in October. This is yet another Cruz appearance at a prominent event in the state that traditionally kicks off the presidential nominating season with its first-in-the-nation caucuses.

The annual dinner is described as “one of the largest events by the state party and typically serves as a showcase for leaders within the Republican Party.” It will be held at the Iowa State Fairgrounds in Des Moines on October 25.

“Senator Cruz has quickly become nationally recognizable as someone who came to Washington to truly shake things up,” Iowa Republican Party Chairman A.J. Spiker said in a statement. “Cruz has been a tremendous leader in holding the Obama administration accountable for the out of control debt and spending problems we face today.”

“We are both honored and ecstatic to be having him keynote our fall Reagan Dinner,” Spiker stated.
