Arrest Made in Beating Death of WWII Vet Delbert Belton

Local Spokane, Washington news is reporting that one of the male teenagers suspected in the brutal murder of Delbert Belton, an 88-year-old World War II veteran, is in custody after being arrested Friday. The other suspect, also described as a black male teenager, is still on the loose.

Immediately after the murder, the suspects were described as “16-19 in age, black males & both wearing black clothing, one was wearing a black ‘Do-Rag’ police say.” Anyone who might have information is being urged by Major Crimes Detectives to call Crime Check at 456-2233.

According to KHQ.com, “charges of 1st degree murder and 1st degree robbery pending.”
