Michelle Obama visited Watertown High School in Wisconsin Thursday because she wanted to highlight her efforts to have families drink more water.
Not satisfied with her “Let’s Move” initiative, designed to get people off their duffs, Mrs. Obama is now touting the virtues of water. Her office said she wants every town to become a “water town.”
She told the crowd, “Since we started the ‘Let’s Move’ initiative, I’ve been looking for as many ways as possible to help families and kids lead healthier lives. I’ve realized if we want to take just one step, the best thing is to simply drink more water.”
Students were freed from class to hear the speech.
There are unconfirmed reports that the Obama Administration is considering banning recordings of the musical “Urinetown” to encourage water potability, and that Michelle Obama’s tour is planning to extol the virtues of honey in Sweet Lips, Tennessee, trumpet the dangers of beer in The Bottle, Alabama, and give a fire-and-brimstone speech warning of the dire results if Americans ignore her diet recommendations in Hell, Michigan.
